The billion-dollar couple has joined a chorus of shareholders suing Brazilian oil giant Petrobras over a corruption scandal that has reduced the value of  Petrobras stock by 88% over the last five years. The power couple’s philanthropic organization, the famed Gates Foundation Trust, has lost millions in Petrobras value through their holdings in the WGI Emerging Markets Fund managed by Boston-based Westwood Global Investments. Like the rest of the class action lawsuits against Petrobras and its other offshore entities, this one is also being taken up by the Southern District Court in New York City.
